La conquête de l'espace
Coming from graphic arts, Florian Tripoteau has developed a sensitivity and interest in the triviality of advertising devices such as billboards. The conquest of the public space by the private thus constitutes the field of reflection of his practice, a large part of which, consists of a survey of the urban space to capture images or to locate elements which he can use as a raw material. He uses and manipulates images and signs to interrogate the presence of graphic injunctions in our everyday environment. He tries, by emptying these billboards of their contents, to reopen a "public" space.
